The Most Recent Time

I am suffering from a mixture of cabin fever and assorted brief panic attacks, sigh. So, instead of writing about that, here is a survey that invokes better times. I would rather think that most of these are the most recent time, not really the last, as I hope to have future opportunities to do almost all of them.

Last time I traveled abroad December 2019, to Dubai and Oman.

Last time I slept in a hotel: February 14-16, 2020, in Las Vegas.

Last time I flew in an airplane: February 16, 2020 (LAS-LAX-IAD)

Last time I took a train: Assuming the metro doesn’t count, the end of October 2019, for a weekend in New York.

Last time I took public transit: March 12, 2020.

Last time I had a house guest: A few years ago, when a friend was in the middle of a domestic crisis and needed to get away from her (now-ex) husband.

Last time I got my hair cut: Uh, maybe 20 years ago?

Last time I went to the movies: December 2019, to see 63 Up.

Last time I went to the theatre: March 6, 2020, to see the Hexagon show.

Last time I went to a concert: Jonathan Richman on March 7, 2020.

Last time I went to an art museum: Hmm, it’s been a while. Maybe April 2019 in El Paso.

Last time I sat down in a restaurant: March 13, 2020 for storytelling at The Auld Shebeen.

Last time I went to a party: Not sure how to count this, but I suppose mid-January for the annual Loser’s post-holiday party.

Last time I played a board game with more than 2 people: Maybe August 2018 at Loserfest.

Last time I went to the office: March 13, 2020.

Last time I traveled abroad: August, 2019, to Dublin, IE

Last time I slept in a hotel: September 13-14, 2019, in Middletown, PA, for my niece's wedding.

Last time I flew in an airplane: September 17, 2019, from PHL->SFO (return trip from my niece's wedding)

Last time I took a train: The Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving a few years ago (2017?) from SJ to Albany, OR.

Last time I took public transit: Caltrain, in January, 2020.

Last time I had a house guest: The summer of 2006. My SO's parents' house had no power (and wasn't going to for a week or so) and it was dangerously hot there, so I insisted that they stay at my air-conditioned house.

Last time I got my hair cut: September, 2019, just before I left for my niece's wedding.

Last time I went to the movies: December 2019, to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Last time I went to the theatre: December, 2019, to see Hamilton in SF.

Last time I went to a concert: August, 2019, at Worldcon in Dublin.

Last time I went to an art museum: I don't remember. It was Superbowl Sunday, the DeYoung Museum, but I forget which year.

Last time I sat down in a restaurant: March 9, 2020--the last day we were allowed to before the COVID-19 "shelter in place" order.

Last time I went to a party: January, 2020, for the Holiday Party offsite for my workplace.

Last time I played a board game with more than 2 people: It's been so many years, I forget!

Last time I went to the office: March 6, 2020 (last day on the job)
