Moving sucks even more

I didn't quite get everything moved over on the weekend, partly because I seem to have picked up the cough that half the state of Virginia has. (Someone who was supposed to pick up some magazine files from me called this morning to cancel because of it.) So I rescheduled the cleaners to Wednesday morning. I'm still overwhelmed by how much stuff I own. Back to the slog.

Moving is always a pain -- I think that's why so many of us do it so infrequently (we have to forget what a pain it was). I know when we last moved (http://cahwyguy.livejournal.com/217160.html) it took quite a while to get unpacked and reorganized (in fact, I think we still have one or two boxes remaining to be unpacked... after 2.5 years).

Next time I move, I'm going to get a doctor to give me an IV drip of Versed. It's an amnesia drug. I can forget the whole process while still being mostly coherent enough to handle the move itself. :)
