I'm somewhat prone to Imposter Syndrome. That is, I sometimes feel that I'm faking it at work, which leads me to fear exposure as a fraud.

I realized today that part of the reason for that feeling is my assumption that everybody knows certain things. I'm so used to, say, looking for Congressional budget marks and/or language that I forget that it isn't all that many years ago that I would have had no idea how to find this info or what some of it meant. It's easy to forget the learning process.

It helps when my (government) boss's response to his asking for info was "awesome."

We all feel that way. We all think that one of these days, they'll find us out.
