Greetings from Burkina Faso!

I got to Ouagadougou a few days ago and am now in Bobo-Dioulasso, which is the music capital of Burkina. In general, Burkina is more comfortable than Mali (better roads, hot showers, espresso) but less exotic. I have been bonding with my driver, Salah, over music. He plays things from all over the Sahara (Mauritania, Western Sahara, etc.) as well as various Tuareg and Afropop stuff. My guide just chatters, mostly about cement and trees, both of which are less interesting.

Anyway, all is well and I return to Ouaga tomorrow to fly home (via CDG).
