The Amazing Race

Before I get into the latest episode of The Amazing Race, I've discovered another sign I travel too much. Namely, both last night and the night before I had dreams involving airplanes. And the thing I remember in those dreams is what seat I had on the plane. Sadly, I often get better seats in my dreams than in my real life.
I was amazed that only Carol and Brandy had even heard of the Seychelles. I was even more amazed at the assorted ways of mispronouncing the name of the country.
Animal related challenges are always amusing, so I was glad to see the giant tortoises. Too bad that most of the teams went for the ox carts instead. Double checking is vital and it seems like many of the teams haven't figured that out, given how many had to go back to retrieve a coconut.
I like Steve and Allie, but I couldn't believe that the main thing she minded about not having her backpack was losing her makeup.
Finally, I am relieved it was a non-elimination leg since I want the cowboys to stay in it. That said, they've been pretty bone-headed lately. Last week, they went to the wrong village twice. Once wasn't really their fault as they got bad advice from the person they asked for directions, but the first time was out of overconfidence leading them not to ask. This time they didn't doublecheck the coconuts, which is bad enough (though 2 other teams made the same mistake). But leaving the wine bottle on the boat was incredibly dumb. What did they think it was for?
