I am somewhat prone to earworms. Okay, not somewhat. It is pretty much a constant problem.
And I am a bit surprised at what has infected me in Turkey. I keep getting hit by bits of the Broadway musical , Kismet.
At Topkapi Palace, it was "Was I Wazir." Today, I came back to my hotel in Ankara, and seeing the small box of Turkish delight they left for me, it's "Rahadlakum." I suspect "Baubles, Bangles, and Beads" will show up when I am back in Istanbul and go to the Grand Bazaar.
By the way, this show infected me once before, though not so viciously. I stood by Borodin's grave in St. Petersburg, humming "Stranger in Paradise." And that I am.
