A Relatively Unbusy Month Ahead

It's not that I don't have things on my calendar and, as usual, my to-do list stretches for many pages. But I expect to be away from home only one night this month, which is fairly unusual for me.

That should give me a good opportunity to catch up on things at home. I have three travelogues to finish, a stack of papers to file, four sweaters to knit (two half done, two not started).

And, of course, world domination to achieve.

Sensible Shoes

A recent travel news story has to do with Greece deciding to ban high heels at various monuments. The concern is, apparently, the potential for damage to the monuments, rather than damage to the tourists wearing impractical footwear.

Too bad we'll never see something like this at National Parks in the U.S.
