I've made significant progress in updating my Library Thing catalogue. All the books that are actually shelved are entered, though I know I have clean-up to do with some of them since the sources can sometimes get some basic data wrong.

The problem is that the stuff on shelves is less than half my actual library, but it's still a good start.

I'm disappointed in tonight's results, but the Goths really did it to themselves. They should have U-turned Nate and Jennifer. And, of course, Kynt's mistake about the receipts was a contributing factor. I'm not sure he actually got it right the second time, since I thought I saw a receipt still on the door when he went back. Once again, reading the clues carefully is crucial.

I'm debating about whether it is worth taping the final episodes. The problem is that the show is rarely on at the correct time due to football delays. (And, yes, I have an old-fashioned VCR, no Tivo or other DVR). I can always just read summaries on-line when get back from my vacation.

Dreary weather is definitely the right time to walk around D.C.. Usually, walking down Pennsylvania Avenue is irritating, due to slow moving herds of tourists. But there were relatively few today.

My instinct that tourist central was a good place to find D.C. t-shirts was a sound one. Any number of street vendors will sell you 3 for $10. (Usually I've gotten picture books as gifts for guides and hosts, but Earthwatch suggested t-shirts or towels for my host family for this trip.) The same shirts go for 2-3 times the price at actual stores.
