How to Feel Old, Part the Umptiumpth
Jan. 25th, 2008 04:38 amI saw an advertisement for the latest American Girls historical doll. Julie Allbright is her name and she is a girl of the 1970's. In the ad, she is wearing (among other things) the sort of hat that Ali McGraw wore in "Love Story," your basic crocheted wool cloche. My first reaction to the picture was "I had that hat."
"Historical" dolls wearing my junior high/ high school wardrobe ... how many more grey hairs does that equal?

A 70s American Girl. I guess that's now the "When Mommy Was Your Age" era. *sigh* When can we expect Crystal (or maybe Tiffany?), the 80s American Girl, and her Jordache jeans, multiple pairs of contrasting socks, and Reeboks?
Damn kids.
(And they can get off of my lawn, and their music is just noise.)
