Anti-Semitic Justice Department Theory

While in the ANA lounge at Dulles yesterday, I was reading the Wall Street Journal and came upon an article re: Sholom Rubashkin (of Agriprocessors notoriety). An Assistant U.S. Attorney is trying to block bail for him on the grounds that his "Jewish heritage" makes him a "de facto dual citizen" due to Israel's Law of Return.

Now, Rubashkin may well be a flight risk, but this argument amounts to claiming that all Jews are flight risks. Aside from which, the U.S. has extradiction treaties with Israel.

I am angry.
