Disaster averted (I hope)

Remember I said that United's website wasn't showing the legs on partner airlines? Well, it turns out that there is a glitch. They have had several incidents of partners canceling confirmed reservations. It's a good thing I checked and called them or I'd have been in serious trouble in a few weeks.

I think I've gotten things straightened out, though I have to call them again to make sure they actually reissued the ticket.

I am more and more convinced that:

1) airline re-regulation is sorely needed. (And, yes, I know that will raise ticket prices.)

2) I should use up all of my miles as soon as possible. While I still can.
