fauxkloreI am flying on to Oman this afternoon. I was not crazy about Dubai, for the most place, largely because it doesn't have a real sense of place. Kind of like Singapore without the botanical gardens and hawker centers.
I am glad I went up to the 148th floor observation deck of the Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world). I also liked the Dubai Fountain. The older part of the city (near the museum) was so-so, and the museum was just okay.
I may come back despite all that, as I am interested in Expo 2020. And I would like to see the other emirates.
