Oh, bummer--we're coming down in February, but it looks like that exhibition closes at the end of this month.
Adaptations of material from one medium to another is something that I've spent quite a bit of time thinking about (and done a little of myself). I'd love to chat about it someday.
And combining both of these threads: have you seen and read Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries? I adored the show, quite liked the books, and found the changes from one to another fascinating.
