I can't comment much on the substance, but I'm enjoying these genealogy posts very much. My brother and sister do the heavy lifting for our family tree, but I help out from time to time. Ancestry.com uploaded a trove of documents from Puerto Rico last year, and I've had fun translating some of them! My paternal grandparents' marriage certificate, revealing that my grandfather had been married to someone else before my grandmother, was especially interesting. (We know next to nothing about this first wife, but presumably she wasn't Catholic, since Grandpa divorced her and married Grandma in the Church. We knew none of this before, and given how proper and Catholic the Grandpa we knew was, there must be some story there!)
