fauxkloreYou can get good business class fares to Europe for certain times of year. In particular, the fare to Barcelona was about 1/3 what it normally is if you were to fly on Christmas day. Aside from not having been to Barcelona before, it is also the gateway to Andorra. I have enough of a completeness obsession to go to microcountries, so here I am.
I found out that Caldea, in Escaldes, Andorra, is alleged to be the largest spa in Europe. It was very pleasant, with huge indoor and outdoor lagoon areas, Jacuzzis, and various special rooms like an Icelandic bath, saunas, etc. There is something to be said for soaking in thermal baths outside with a light snow falling, followed by lying on a heated marble bench.
I am hoping the weather clears up so I can get in a nice long walk tomorrow morning before heading to central Barcelona.
