Riddle solved
Feb. 18th, 2011 06:17 amI realized just before I went to bed last night, that the "from the dead, the living came" bit was probably a classic riddle. And adding the word "riddle" helped google find it.
The answer is supposed to be that a bird laid its 6 eggs in a skull. And one has not yet hatched.
I admit limited experience of the nesting habits of most birds, but this strikes me as pretty unlikely. And I suppose it works just as well if the bird built a nest in a dead tree.
The riddle of why I wrote it down remains unsolved.
