Yards Park

One of my friends wanted to check out some holiday lights near Yards Park, so we ventured into the city in the late afternoon and had what (in my opinion) was a rather early dinner at Salt Line. I had a cranberry G&T that was just okay and a very good fish sandwich. Then we walked around and found the light display she had seen on television, which turned out to be much smaller than she had been led to believe - just three tepee-shaped trees with changing colors. We walked over to a wine bar that advertised special holiday drinks (and had outdoor greenhouses decorated with candy canes) but it was too crowded so we returned to the metro.

I was actually glad to get home earlier, but I think she was disappointed in not getting more holiday cheer.
