There have been a couple of news stories recently regarding fake memoirs. In the most recent one, the publisher decided to recall the book.

I don't understand the recall. Yes, the advertising needs to change to reflect that it is fiction. But if a book is worth reading, is it more or less worth reading depending on whether or not it is factual?
I've read any number of books that straddle the line.

All the stories I tell are true, but many didn't actually happen quite that way.

Apparently right feet, wearing size 12 running shoes, keep washing up on Gabriola Island, British Columbia. Three of them so far.

I've heard of people having two left feet, but this seems rather creepier.
