So Typical

I had a conversation at work yesterday that explains a lot about why I get frustrated at times. Somebody noted that I hadn't mentioned the status of a troublesome component in my weekly report in a while and asked me about it. I explained to him that everything was going okay and updated him on the status.

After I finished, he asked me, "what does that component do, anyway?"

On the plus side, somebody who is usually evasive was helpful yesterday.

Today started out well. It only took me about 10 minutes to renew my building pass today. When I got to my office, I had a lovely surprise gift from a friend. (Beautiful yarn!)

But later on, I had to sit through a 5 hour teleconference. There was some good information, but I had to stand up and pace around my office to keep my body from merging with the chair.

Hi. [livejournal.com profile] cahwyguy suggested I contact you. I'm going to be moving to Washington, DC, in three weeks, and I'm looking for a real estate agent (I'm not looking to buy, but I'm hoping they'll be able to help me find a decent place to rent). He thought you might know of an agent because you recently bought a condo, so I thought I'd see if you had an agent you'd recommend.

I'm probably going to be looking more in DC itself and maybe Alexandria, so she probably won't work out. Also, good info about the agents not usually dealing with apartments. Thanks for your help :-)
