I liked Arrival. I liked the way the main character's memories/flashbacks aligned with her learning the aliens' language that conceptualizes time differently--they were a visual signal that she was internalizing the language. I like that she realizes she would make the same decision about sharing her daughter's life even knowing it will end too soon--that knowing the end doesn't necessarily change the choices you'd make.
