One can take a bike on metro only during non-rush hours. Given how packed the Orange Line is at rush hour, it would be really rude even if it were allowed.
Bike commuting the entire way would be almost feasible. But bike parking is a bit of a problem (and there is definitely no room to take a bike inside), as is the lack of a shower to use there. I've been contemplating looking at a folding bike as an option, since I could take that on the metro and bus in the morning and ride home.
