mid-vacation note

Vientiane was pleasant enough, though not really exciting. I did enjoy the horribly tacky Buddha Park, which entailed a particularly bumpy tuktuk ride to and from.

I am now in Phonsavan, which is a dreary place, with cold and wet weather. So why am I here? Well, the whole point of the trip was to see the Plain of Jars, which is what I did today. A life list item checked off always makes me happy.

I am dreading a long bus ride tomorrow, but everyonevraves about Luang Prabang.
