Arte e Gelato
May. 28th, 2014 01:11 pmI am at about the midway point of my vacation. As in my previous trips to (other parts of) Italy, I have been spending my time gawking at art and architecture and eating gelato. As usual, I find that famous things are famous for a reason. Highlights of gawkery include the cathedral in Pisa, the Uffizi in Firenze, seeing the graves of people like Galileo and Michelangelo and Machiavelli, meandering around the historic center of San Marino, and exploring the porticos of Bologna.
I have been posting brief daily gelato reportscon facebook, but will write up full reviews when I am home. Tomorrow, I will do some museumage in the morning, then take a bus to Slovenia. I will probably have an update either there or in Amsterdam. (I have been to Amsterdam before, but it was, um, 1980.)
