I read that there was a fire at the Citgo sign the other day. (This is a famous Boston landmark, which lights the way to Fenway Park, aka the Shrine of the Green Monster.) I didn't see any follow-up on how much damage here was.
But perhaps a spark finally got set off in the Sox batting. I was ready to turn the game off and go to bed after Papelbon gave up 2 runs, but I just muttered "it ain't over till it's over" a few dozen times. And, wow! This was worth every ounce of sleep deprivation.
And, yes, sleep deprivation is measured in ounces. Ounces of coffee consumption, that is.
