My company is closing our office (and my government office will be closed since it is a federal holiday within the district and surrounding counties) but it is, theoretically a work day for me.
I plan to cower in my condo (next to the heater (which is, alas, having trouble keeping up in this particular record cold) and catch up on reading journal articles, but will likely have the television on for part of the day.
I am too old to deal with the unwashed masses. And the dearth of port-a-potties.
