Sorry to see the last HoJo's restaurant go. (Especially since it was at a place -- Lake George, NY -- where I went on vacation with my parents when I was in elementary school.) HoJo's was ALWAYS the place I wanted to go when on a Sunday drive with my parents. Nothing could be better than Tendersweet fried clams followed by a dish of chocolate ice cream!
Near the north end of the Blue Ridge Parkway (at a place where it connects to a modern highway) there is an abandoned HoJo's restaurant that is completely overgrown. The little glass-enclosed entryway is filled with plant life. It's almost like a work of art entitled "Nature's Revenge."
