To be fair, they just had events from 10 to 2. And our senior leadership specifically invited children to the secretariat's staff meeting.

I think most folks nowadays have jobs that make it very hard for children to grasp just what it is their parents do. I have particularly wondered about this with respect to the International Earth Rotation Service, the folks who measure the rotation of the earth and decide when we need leap seconds. I imagine someone telling a child, "I watch the earth turn."
