Fun Home was the best musical I have seen in years. I am jealous that your Medium Alison was so good--the one I saw was definitely the weakest of the three, but we got Michael Cerveris as her father, and I'm a huge fan of his work. I thought it was a brilliant depiction of the kind of WASP upbringing where nothing is talked about, using the songs to illuminate the unexpressed emotions. And the tech on Broadway was about the most exciting I've ever seen, though all in service of making it look really simple.

It's coming to Boston in the fall and I'm really hoping to get Jason there, since he missed it the first time.
