I suppose the problem with genetically mutating ragweed is that some super weed will take over, spreading all across the country, and then it would mutate again, producing even worse spores.

We'd need to get some kind of X-Terminator to go back in time and try and kill the scientists that developed the mutated strains.

It would be horrible, and the movie script would be even worse than that.
