WhenI used to take frequent photography trips to Southeast Asia, I was stopped at the border a few times and asked to turn on my computer and my cameras and show them what I had on them. Once I stopped self-identifying as a photographer, they stopped doing it. Although one time the guy asked me what I did and I told him I was a nurse, and he asked me to prove it. I said. "Uhhh...", and he jerked his thumb toward the secondary inspection area. Now I carry my nursing license with me, and no one ever asks anymore.
